GDELT: event volume & average tone
The GDELT Project monitors global broadcast, print, and web news in real time, coding events (actors, actions, locations) and assigning a tone score from -10 (very negative) to +10 (very positive). This section will track daily event volume and average tone specific to Russia–Ukraine war coverage, pulled via the GDELT GKG (Global Knowledge Graph) API.

Global Peace Index (GPI)
Published annually by the Institute for Economics & Peace, the GPI ranks 163 countries and territories on 23 indicators spanning ongoing conflict, societal safety, and militarization. This section will surface the current rank and score for Russia, Ukraine, and relevant neighboring states, plus year-over-year change once the latest release is integrated.
